Stavros Demetriadis graduated from Physics Department, Aristotle
University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) in 1983 and obtained a 2year Master Diploma in
Electronic Physics in 1986. Being a high school Informatics teacher since 1989
he grew an interest in the use of Information and Communication Technologies
(ICT) in Education and he entered the Department of Informatics, AUTh as a PhD
student and research assistant in 1993. He got his PhD in "Multimedia technology
in Education" in 2000 and joined the Department of Informatics, AUTh as a
Lecturer in 2002.
Stavros Demetriadis is currently an Assistant Professor at the
Department of Informatics, AUTh teaching courses and conducting research in
the broader area of ICT in Education.

(CSCL), Multimedia learning, Systems for Case-based Learning and Peer
