Description:

Stergios Tegos has recently completed his PhD study at the School of Informatics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He also received the BSc degree in computer science and the MSc degree in educational technology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research interests include technology-enhanced learning, computer-supported collaborative learning and conversational pedagogical agents. For the purpose of his PhD research, Stergios has developed and used in a series of studies a prototype conversational agent system, named MentorChat. One objective of Stergios' research is to explore how specific teacher methodologies, such as the one described by the Academically Productive Talk classroom discourse framework, can be successfully leveraged by web-based conversational agents that provide dynamic support in collaborative learning settings.
